 For World Peace

1) Dear Lord, so many people in this world die fo hunger or struggle from the lack of food.

2) We pray for those who are feeling the pain of physical hunger, especially for children who are

starving.

3) Open our eyes and our hearts to recognize those in poverty, and make us impatient to feed our

hungry brothers and sisters on Your behalf.

4) We pray that not only their bodies are physically nourished, but also their hearts and spirits

are nourished through Your love and renewed by the help of the Holy Spirit.

5) Bless those who are starving, and empower us to help those in need

46 For the Environment

1) Gracious God, we thank You for the gift of life. We give You praise for everything You mysteriously

created on Earth.

2) Our Earth will only be our home as long as we learn to respect and care for it.

3) Guide us to make action to protect and restore nature, so that we can hand on the beautiful Earth

to future generations.

4)Help us to support and protect the victims of crimate change everywhere.

5)Through the presence of Holy Sprit dwelling in us, empower us to remain steadfast in the hope

that we can change the world and preserve nature for Your glory.

6) May You ill our hearts with a burning desire to serve You and Your kingdom.

7) We ask for this in the name of Your Son Jesus, who lives and breathes among us.

 

47 - Racism

1) Jesus, Lord of all nations, You showed us perfect love.

2) Your sacrifice and love were for everyone regardless of ethnic background.

3) Help us to break down the barriers in our community, in our country, and the wold.

4) We pray for an end to racism in all forms.

5) May people of all colours who have been hurt by racism be healed, and

may each person be respected and valued as a child of God.

6) Help us to see each other as You see us, and share Your love and peace, so that Your glory

can be revealed.

48 For people who haven't been reached

1) Loving God, when we experience the joy of knowing You, we want others to feel the same joy.

2) When we delight in the assurance of our salvation, we want those we love to have the same confidence.

3) We know that You have a deep sorrow for those wander far away from Your love or do not know You.

4) We pray for all that people in the world who havn't been reached. Help us to reach out to them

and share the gospel with them, so that they may be drawn to You and receive Your grace and love.

5) Help us to continue to pray for those who do not know You and spread the gospel to them

until they come to know Jesus Christ.

6) Thank You for giving us the privilege to become Your people.

 

49 - Serenity Prayer

1) God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can change,

2) courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference

3) living on day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time, accepting hardships as a pathway to peace,

4) taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it,

5) trusting that You will make all thing right, if I surrender to You will,

6) so that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

 

 

 

 

50 The Prayer of Saint Francis

1) Lord, make me a instrument of your peace;

2) where there is hatred, let me sow love;

3) where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith;

4) where there is despair, hope; where there darkness, light;

5) and where there is sadness, joy.

6) Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

7) to be understood, as to understand; to be loved, as to love;

8) For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning taht we are pardoned;

and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen
